The Assist is the heart of any party in Madrigal, serving as the primary priest or medic. This versatile class offers three main playstyles to suit any adventurer:
Full Support (FS): A dedicated healer who focuses on aiding others with powerful support and healing spells.
1v1: A powerful solo fighter who uses self-buffs to take on enemies one at a time with physical combat skills.
Area of Effect (AoE): Notably, the Assist has the lowest level requirement in the game to gain access to an Area of Effect (AoE) attack, allowing them to damage multiple enemies at once.
At Level 15, you can promote to an Assist. Upon reaching Level 60, you must choose between two specialized paths:
Billposter: A formidable combatant that leads to the Force Master.
Ringmaster: The ultimate support specialist that leads to the Seraph.
Assists utilize two primary weapon types depending on their focus:
Sticks: Required for casting most support and healing spells.
Knuckles: Used for physical combat skills.
Shields: Can only be equipped when a Knuckle is being used.
Note: While Assists can use previous class (Vagrant) weapons, their specialized First Class skills will be inaccessible while doing so.
Because the Assist can play as a dedicated healer, a frontline fighter, or an Area of Effect (AoE) specialist, your stat build will depend entirely on which role you choose.
Focuses on maximizing the power and duration of buffs and heals for party members.
Primary Stat: INT (Intelligence)
Recommendation: High to Pure INT.
Why? INT directly increases HP recovery for Heal and Circle Healing. It also extends the strength and duration of buffs.
Secondary Stat: STA (Stamina)
Recommendation: 20–40 points.
Why? Provides enough HP to survive accidental monster aggression or AoE attacks while healing others.
Focuses on self-buffing to fight monsters solo using Knuckles.
Primary Stat: STR (Strength)
Recommendation: Heavy investment.
Why? Increases raw damage for auto-attacks and primary combat skills like Straight Punch and Power Fist.
Secondary Stat: DEX (Dexterity)
Recommendation: 15–43 points (depending on gear).
Why? Improves Accuracy (Hit Rate), Attack Speed, and Critical Rate to ensure attacks land consistently without a partner.
Tertiary Stat: STA (Stamina)
Recommendation: 15–30 points.
Why? Provides a necessary HP cushion for melee combat while skills like Prevention are on cooldown.
Focuses on pulling groups of monsters and destroying them simultaneously.
Primary Stat: STR (Strength)
Recommendation: Heavy investment.
Why? The Assist’s primary AoE skill, Burst Crack, scales directly with STR for damage.
Secondary Stat: STA (Stamina)
Recommendation: Heavy investment.
Why? Essential for survival, as you must be able to tank multiple monsters at once while executing your AoE rotation.
| Stat | Priority | Benefit for Assist |
|---|---|---|
| STR | High (1v1/AoE) | Increases damage for auto-attacks, 1v1 attacks, and Burst Crack. |
| INT | High (FS) | Increases healing power and buff duration/strength. |
| STA | High (AoE) | Crucial for HP and Defense to survive "mobbing" and accidental hits. |
| DEX | Medium (1v1) | Improves Attack Speed, Critical Rate, and Accuracy. |
The Assist's utility is defined by their ability to enhance the powers of their fellow adventurers while maintaining their own survival. Below is the breakdown of how these skills are applied.

The ultimate team player, dedicated to keeping others alive and powered up.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| High Demand: You are the most wanted class for parties and high-level boss hunts. | Dependence: You rely heavily on a partner to deal damage and help you level up. |
| Safe Leveling: You usually stay behind the lines, away from the direct heat of battle. | Inventory Management: You must constantly manage MP and Refreshers to keep buffs active. |
| Maximized Buffs: High INT means your buffs last a long time and your heals are massive. | Passive Gameplay: Some players may find the "buff and heal" loop less exciting than combat. |
A self-sufficient warrior who uses holy buffs to augment their physical prowess.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Solo King: You can self-buff and fight on your own without needing a partner. | Stat Hungry: Needs a careful balance of STR, DEX, and STA to be effective. |
| Stun Mastery: Combining Knuckles with Stonehand allows you to lock down enemies. | Vulnerability: Being in melee range means you are at higher risk of taking damage. |
| Consistent DPS: High attack speed and critical hits provide steady single-target damage. | Buff Maintenance: Since your INT is low, your buffs wear off quickly and require frequent recasting. |
A specialized brawler capable of pulling and destroying large groups of enemies at once.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Fastest Early Leveling: Access to Burst Crack at Level 28 allows for the earliest group-leveling in the game. | High Risk: Pulling multiple monsters means one mistake can lead to a quick death. |
| Scale with STR: Unlike other classes, your main AoE damage scales directly with your Strength stat. | Gear Dependent: Requires strong defensive equipment and high-refined shields to survive large mobs. |
| Self-Sufficient Tanking: Can use your own defensive buffs to survive pulls that would kill other classes. | Active Management: Requires constant movement and precise skill timing to maximize efficiency. |
